We have combined tumescent anesthesia (to numb the skin), subcision (a process of going under the skin and undermining and loosening adhesions beneath the scars using a micro dissector), TCA chemical peels, and CO2 laser resurfacing to address all types of acne scars.
While the combined approach sounds complicated, it actually allows greater improvement in a single visit without any more downtime or risk. In most cases, the entire treatment for facial acne scarring can be completed in about 2 ½ hours of treatment time, and with just 1-2 weeks of recovery time.
There is little to no downtime.
