Laser Eyelid Lift Surgery
Laser eyelid surgery (also called a Blepharoplasty or Bleph) can be done to the upper or lower eyelid region. For the upper eyelid surgery, a laser is used to remove excess skin, fat, and wrinkles for a tighter and smoother eyelid region. For the lower eyelid region a laser is used to remove the fat pads that can cause “eye bags” underneath the eyes. By using a laser for each of the procedures there is considerably less bleeding, bruising, post-treatment pain, and risk of scarring. No scalpel or scissor cutting is involved. The procedure is performed with mild oral sedation and local anesthesia in the office, but patients will need a driver the day of the procedure. The down time with this procedure is 48 hours.
